Bringing the eye of an artist.

And the steady hand of a surgeon.

Michael Leopold. Renovisionary.

I’ve always loved to roll up my sleeves and get the job done. Prior to coming to Chicago in 2016, I worked with Nest Fine Interior Contractors. I worked with them as they built their business to become what they are today, The Best Apartment and Condo Interior Contractors in New York City.

In fact, it all began in my early childhood, when I would help my father around the house with projects both large and small. I learned how to build, make and repair all sorts of things, even when there wasn’t a guidebook and before YouTube videos existed. Most times, we followed our gut. My dad was self-reliant that way, not because he had to be, but because he wanted to be. He instilled that life-long philosophy in me: just figure it out.

I spent my college summer breaks helping renovate homes, mostly with a spackle knife in one hand and a paintbrush in the other. And not just slapping things together, but with the eye of an artist. Having also spent the better part of my youth taking art lessons, I learned to sculpt and draw with all sorts of implements and materials. There is nothing like having a creative vision and then bringing it to life. Working with my hands has always been a sacred pursuit to me. It’s second nature.

I took that dedication to craft to my career as a brand builder as well. I have a long history as an award-winning advertising and communications creative director. I have led teams large teams, syncing up work with numerous vendors on extremely tight timelines. I know how to get things done with all sorts of people and personalities. It’s exactly like construction, only a different medium.

That’s why I brought my creative vision and logistical expertise to home renovations. It’s my home.
