Without a plan, there’s chaos.

Renovision Road exists to bring order to it.

At Renovision Road, we believe in a streamlined, organized process to deliver smooth home renovation projects. That’s why we’ve put together a checklist for what we’ll deliver so you’ll know what to expect and what order to expect them in.

Now, there’s always surprises along the way, that’s part of the process, but we aim to minimize those by preparing you ahead of time. Know that we’re going to guide you through them with a plan that’s fully transparent, honest, and action-oriented.

Below you’ll see a high level overview of our 9-step process.

1. Contact us. When we speak together, you’ll give us a general overview of your project. This is your first chance to talk with us, share your vision and get a feel for our vision and philosophy. You can reach us at 917-547-2360.

2. Initial site visit. We’ll visit your site and see it first-hand. We’ll come prepared to listen to you. This is your opportunity to expand on your vision for the space. Some great design resources are Pinterest (see our ever-expanding Pinterest presence), home design magazines and various design blogs. We’ll provide you with our general assessment and ideate with you. We love this part of the process. At this time, we’ll also take some rough measurements, photographs, and perhaps some videos. This is crucial in order to create an accurate estimate of your project.

3. Provide rough budget. We’ll provide you with a rough budget based on our conversations and initial site visit.

4. Approve budget. This comes with its own set of deliverables: scheduling, design timeline, develop/review/sign contracts, permits, etc. Deposits are paid at this time.

5. Flesh out the Design. Now we really kick it into gear. We may provide you with a 3D rendering based on numerous discussions (depending on complexity, this is not always needed). We also may provide you with swipe to give you a sense of the distilled vision to make sure we are all on the same page. We’ll adjust the design as many times as needed based on your feedback.

6. Design approval. Once you love our designs, you’ll sign off on the finalized design and we’re off and running.

7. Prep to build. We’ll hold your hand through the whole process. We’ll provide you with a list of what you’re responsible for along with a list of places where you can go find them. On our end, we’ll order and make sure all materials are on-site in time for us to start. “Better to be looking at it than waiting for it.” We’ll also make sure all permits, if needed, are applied for and received.

8. Project management. You’ll receive status reports and imagery to see how things are progressing, daily, weekly and monthly. And of course, seeing things in person as well. There is nothing like seeing progress with your own two eyes. You’ll be made aware immediately of any issues that may pop up. If things arise that you would like to change or add, we’ll make sure AWOs (Additional Work Orders) are developed and signed off on before proceeding.

9. Finalization. Much like when you buy a home, we’ll walk you through the project and address any issues, creating a punch list, then remediating that punch list.

What about licensing, insurance and bonding?

Our team is fully licensed, insured, and bonded. You should insist on this from any contractor you work with; whether it’s us or not. It protects you and your property.
